She was not amused.
And when A-hyeon wasn't amused, it meant that the sympathetic side of her personality failed to exist any longer and made place for the sarcastic, impatient and emotional part. The most likely of cases is simple - someone needing to long for doing something. In this case, her rage was awaken in a prestigious café, but the visit there was not as fulfilling as it should have been. The evening was already late, and she only wanted to come here for a short dinner, but!
It took too long. The café wasn't really filled with too many people, so there was no obvious reason why she should wait that long. And why the staff didn't admit their obvious fault - they had confused her order and weren't able to bring her what she ordered. IT WAS AS SIMPLE AS THAT.
She took a deep breath. The only thing she wanted was the truth and one thing she hated was people denying it. It was the most digusting thing she had ever seen, however, she somehow thought it funny at the same time even though she didn't look amused. The real amusement was hidden, the people themselves...
"I have told you," she said, only a little bit away from screaming and shouting at the waiter who had struggles himself to pull himself together, "that I have ordered my order about half an hour ago and it hadn't arrived yet. According to the usual time, it's about three times more. And do you really want to tell me that you need half an hour and even more to place a cake on a plate?" Her voice wasn't calm. It was raging inside.
The waiter seemed like he wanted to bring on another excuse. But she wouldn't let him come so far.
She suddenly stood up, making a big gesture and not caring about her image at all because here was almost nobody and netizens already discussed her "split personality" enough by her standards. And she still got offers. "Say one more word and I make sure you regret it. Just. Get. My. Cake. Got it?" She looked at him intensely without seeing him. There was so much stupidity in this face, and so much in the whole world. Most of the time, she actually was able to ignore it somehow or to pull herself together not to overreact, but enough was enough. Probably she had had a bad day anyway.
And she realized that she maybe was in someone's way, too. "Hyeon" wasn't able to overtake "A"'s place so fast, so she looked at her with impatience. Had she hit her earlier with her hand or arm or whatever?

when there was something toh-rin did enjoy in particular, then it was definitely cherishing herself and appreciating and glorifying herself for everything she made and yes, pretty much anything which was connected to that.
today was just one of these days.
although she decided not to throw one of her partys by now, she was rather about to celebrate herself in a silent and convenient manner where she hadn't to fake too much of herself - of course, being in public, she always had to keep herself together, to stay calm and endurable and lovable (although that was quite the point), but when she was just sitting somewhere, alone, and in case nobody dared to talk with her, even she could relax somehow.

so, today should be a silent praising day.
only that it didn't seem to fully come true. the first disturbance was on the run as that ... that ... 'girl' started to rant all over the place and she couldn't but roll with her eyes. annoying. of course, she wasn't above in reality, but as she was now relaxed sitting few places away, she was able to maintain a quiet manner - in fact, in her case, her food was there. and that's most likely the reason why she felt like she was above. as always. no excuse, thou.

only that it soon was too much to endure. it was horrible! although she liked to watch other people being all discontent with each other, that's how life was after all, but not on her silent praising day. intendly, she stood up and wanted to cross the room, in order to leave the place in a most elegant way (of course after paying ...), but then ... a hand. in. her. face.
now everything was lost. a flash of raging anger crossed her face, she was near to explode, but then, as the waiter looked at her in horror, her face ... relaxed again. "it's a pity that people cannot control themselves" she said in a most polite yet most disgusted manner. with a pejorative glance, she only considered to look pretty shortly at the other - should she know her? the hell knew.

A-hyeon didn't expect the world to know her. Okay, somehow. In her eyes, there was still a way to go until she would reach the point where her father was and where she would meet and outrank him. Additionally, most of the people didn't recognize her immediately because she usually was such an agreeable person and played really complicated and nasty hero-not-hero roles. Exactly the stuff she liked and thought she was made for.
However, now she was raging and her gestures hit somebody, even though she didn't really care. Until this person spoke something too. For a moment, she stood still. For the first time within the last fifteen or whatever minutes, a grin appeared on her face. She stroked her hair out of her face and turned around to see whose voice it was who had spoken these words. "Don't you think it's a pity that people can control themselves?" she asked. The "other" side of her personality came out, completely, now as she was eyeing the unknown woman. Younger maybe. Maybe not. Around her age. Seemed to be and was probably a foreigner somehow. Maybe or probably held a lot of stuff back.
"What are you doing, keeping that and this, and saying things about controlling?" Imagining that this person was the original A-hyeon, the world had turned into a better place now she got this modesty. But it wasn't the most honest thing in the world, too.
She smiled, in her eyes were shades of depths hidden. She looked closely at the other person, trying to find out more - during her work with other people, she had gotten to know a lot of things about seeing behind and knowing more behind, told by the appearance and behaviour. In addition, she got a short glimpse of that incredibly beautiful face which was overly disgusted.

some sort of bell rang in her head as she came to have a closer look on the person she was facing now. she should surely know her, but as always, toh-rin preferred not to be 'too' up-to-date to whatever celebrities the korean industry liked to produce these days.
it was still a bitter pill for her, even though she was willing to manage those people one day or another. but it was better than nothing, she couldn't do anything else, huh? all those years ... the passing years ... for literally nothing.
for quite ... almost nothing.

the voice of the other made her look skeptical. with what kind of person was she speaking, now? "obviously not, do you ever listen?" she talked back, rolling her eyes as she heard the remark of the other. seriously? this was like the most stupid question she could hear and really, there were pleny other candidates out here in the world.
and again this stupid glance at her.
the other better looked at everybody like that or she would literally just kill the unknown because of it. it would never change, huh? the way people looked at her, like a stranger, like an alien ... what was all of this fuss about, anyway?
"have i already stated that i don't care about whatever you're talking about?" the girl remarkd with a sweet smile, but obviously, her words were clearly the opposite of her appearance right now. she was just kind of enervated, and by now, she didn't care whether she would be able to keep her image or not - because she was clearly not.

A-hyeon probably did look at everyone with the same look, at least if these people met her when she the "A" part of her personality was out and free. "Of course I listen," she said, almost brusquely, but the grin in her face and her general amusement helped her being in a better mood now. "People tend to talk a lot when the day's long." And she really hated all that kind of stuff in the same way she tended to love it. She probably had a problem, but this problem wasn't really something she would really care about.
That sweet smile. Almost immediately, she knitted her brows and looked at her with obvious contempt and disappointment. "It seems like it's not only the words that are locking people inside themselves." With a harsh movement, the actress was taking place again, looking around for the waiter who had found his chance to escape that creepy lady. It was a pity that this someone really had a flat personality, almost as if he only was a side remark in a book. "Waiter was here." But nothing more, nothing less. The world was full of dull personalities, and then, there were these...
She grinned again. "It's a pity I can't tell anything about you," she sighed and took another sip of her coffee, looking carefully at the other who might just as well have been disappeared. It was the habit of a some to disappear as quick as possible when "A" was around.

disbelief was visible on her face.
which meant: quite visible.
what a freak, she was thinking while she secretly rolled her eyes - ignoring the fact that she was quite a freak on her own, but she tended - if not always - to exclude her amazing self from such categories.
toh-rin was outstanding, that's it.
"i guess talking is just normal for people, not?" she said, while she was ignoring her inner screams like as if i care and just tried to be as nonchalant as possible. only that this was going to get harder with every word she had to endure, coming from this incredible arrogant woman.
she knew that face ... oh, and she hated to know people's faces if they weren't of any use to her ... but somehow, she managed to maintain her attitude.

lock inside her? oh yeah, there was plenty stuff ongoing in her mind, nothing that other people would actually think of, but hey, it wasn't unlikely that people didn't wish to know these kind of stuff, anyway! hahaha. hah. yeah. very funny.
"i guess some have to hide their stupidity, huh?" she sighed, with a voice that seemed to care - a worried voice. she felt dumb just standing there, so she simply took a seat, crossing her legs and waved her hand to indicate the waiter she wanted her stuff to be moved to this table. as if she would be doing this on her own, phe!
"then you should better find something" she replied to the other's remark. what was that other person even talking about? the girl seemed to be lowkey confused, but only because the other person wasn't able to get things clear.

A-hyeon probably needed to be arrogant to survive in this business. There was no other way. And yes, she was good at being arrogant, She nerved her surroundings regularly if they just annoyed her too much. A bit of arrogance was needed, too, to play the role of an inspector at all. She had to act as if she just knew more than she actually did. This was the essence of being an inspector.
Bluffing.
But maybe, she wasn't even bluffing. "All this guessing, this thinking, this finding..." she sighed, her face actually looking a little bit disappointed, but still just as crazy as before. Even her hair might be a little bit more unordered, too. "Our society, don't you think," it was almost like she spit the word out, "is too tentative, too indefinitial? Everything just looses their form." She sighed again. This world was a pity sometimes. Where was this damn truth? Hiding again. Always. Hiding.
A faint grin appeared on her face.
Otherwise, it wouldn't be nearly as suspenseful, would it?
The other actually took a seat, just after she had sat down. A smile appeared on her face. A mad one, of course. But actually, it had more... ordinary tones now, too. It looked more normal. Slowly, the "triggering" stopped and the ordinary about her personality came back. Just like the polite features were exaggerated at the beginning. "Yes, we all play hide and seek. Hiding and seeking the truth, the... thing behind the things." She looked intensely at the other. But well, masquerades could be played over a long period of time. How long was this old?
She grinned again, slightly. But her eyes were still analyzing. "You're not too old, probably around 20, beginning. You're about five cm higher than me. Not in Sealight Records, but probably otherwise involved in the K-Pop industry."

toh-rin always was on the brink of exploding - she always seemed to be captured between the nice image and her true rage; however, even though people might get to know the less pleasant side of her, she still was perfectly fine when it came to suppressing the anger and turning it into something more effective.
so her lips curled to a disgusted face as the other just kept talking before she came back to her senses (and she would suggest to the other that she did just the same, any time very soon), placing a very friendly smile on her features. "i assumed you wouldn't understand me otherwise" the girl explained with a soft voice, yet the content and the sheer way she spoke, slow and steady like talking to a kid, gave it a pejorative taste. "you should rather talk about your hair at that point, it looks quite desastrous" she replied to her talking about ... nah, she didn't get it, really, but only because she wasn't interested in it, anyway.
of course it was cynical. in her case, it rarely was something else.

... and after a while, she still couldn't believe what she had done. fairly impulsive, yes, and however, she didn't wish to give in - quitting because of a nuisance like the other person was or quitting because she got hit in the face. obviously two different pair of shoes.
... wherever the difference laid, actually.
the girl had few things in common with truth, her whole life was literally just a lie to herself, a way where people would suppose she could only fail - but she was eager not to slip anymore. "truth is just an annoyance to life" the girl shrugged her shoulders and waited for the waiter to come, bringing her food.
perhaps she should order something new ... but somehow, eating more than she already ordered in front of this person didn't seem like something comfortable.
what the heck was wrong with her face?
... or rather: what the heck was wrong with that person as whole? sipping her coffee, the girl raised an eyebrow. "basics" the younger one frowned and smiled, a little bit like she was winning. indeed, she was not intertwined with sealight anymore, but she had been - even though she hated that people forgot her, it was better like it was, right? somehow. toh-rin had no interest in taking care of such rumours and conspiracies, honestly.

Maybe, the two of them actually were kind of alike - but the difference between the two of them was visible, too. A-hyeon wasn't really good at surpressing her "other" side which actually was "first personality" she had. It was kind of complicated, and as actress, she didn't really think about it too much. She would have to change her personality within a second anyway if neeed. And it was actually kind of normal for her to switch between the roles as long as no role was required.
It might sound sad or really strange, but A-hyeon actually was used to this pejorative way of talking. Mainly due to her inspector role, people didn't believe (until they saw it on TV) how some criminals tended to treat the inspectors. It was the most obvious thing for them that they were innocent - because they knew how the evidences were, of course. "Oh, my hair?" She never realized how it got unordered everytime her "true" personality came out. "Ah, funny hing, isn't it?" She chuckled and stroked her hair into something more ordered again.
"You don't have to worry about me understanding you," she added with a smile, now almost back to the polite self.
It was so incredibly boring if the other person just didn't want to give in - and that was exactly the case here. A-hyeon didn't know things like winning or failing here - at least not as long as no case was involved, and that rarely the case for her. She was an actress, she faked the being she was on TV, never had spoken to actual criminals or talked to them, at least not in the case of emergency. However, she wouldn't doubt that she'd be able to do her job and find out the truth. "Interesting thought - why do you think so?" She almost spat the word out, it was so... nah. She didn't like it too much, at least not right now.
A smile appeared on her face. "I don't think that you'd like me to say everything I could tell you about you." This thinking was really too much present in the world, really. She didn't like it.

. . . funny?
f u n n y ?
did she just say fun-
that girl ... was just crazy. she frowned at the other. "it's rather disgusting" she tried to be polite, still, after all, but somehow, she just couldn't manage to say a different word with her lips. not ... to this. well, one could say that toh-rin was just incredibly vain, but style did matter in this world, the end.
... at least she did something about that horrible hair. how did that happen, anyway? it wasn't like there was something as a goddamn breeze or wind or something, right?

there was not even a sparkle of interest in the eyes of the girl as she listened - somehow - to the other, rolling her eyes every then and now, but smiling as if she would be interested. now, as the temptation was gone, she was way more interested in getting her delicious cake than giving an appropriate answer. "well, if you think you're as good as you pretend to be, why do you ask me? don't you already know?" she decided to go the shortcut as soon as the waiter was visible, carrying her cake and placing it in front of her. what was that fuss with truth ... or lie ... they were both alike, not in dignity, but just in something else. they both could hurt, both could make people feel better, so what's on?
but there was no space for philosophy now. it was ... lunchtime. and she wouldn't let the other destroy it once more.

a skepctical yet sweet smile appeared on her face as she picked up the fork. "nah" she just replied before eating a bite - yummy! admittingly, there were people who ... were better than her in some cases. only in few. very few.

A-hyeon couldn't deny it - she was part of the entertainment industry. People liked her because of her pretty face, but this wasn't the whole truth - at least not hers. She was casted because she was able to act and to play properly, something she was really proud of. After all, she wanted to outrank her father's work, and there had been an awful lot.
"You sure, huh?" She didn't really asked this time, however, being used to inspector roles and they always rather asked one time too much than not at all. She knew the answer, but this was exactly... the funny thing. "Don't you wonder how this always happen? Actually, I don't know. Guess my hair's kinda used to 'inspector'." She had love enough for the role that made her famous a few years ago, and inspector was the most decent and reputable term she had.
The smile wasn't interested, she knew it. Or maybe, she felt it - she would be very much pleased if she could just go with her gut feeling, but it didn't work out sometimes, at least not now. "Well, well," she answered with just as annoying a smile as the other. However, she smoothed her expressions and actually turned it into something polite. It was the face 'inspector' was used to put on if she had to present a culprit's culpability.
"You have stated that truth is an annoyance to life - something that is used by people who have something to hide..." A-hyeon didn't tend to be really envious when she was absorbed by a case or something else, but...
... she had been in this dumb restaurant for too long and was glad that finally her order had been made. The waiters exaggerated the decoration, probably to beg her pardon. "Ahhh, cake time. Which one did you pick?" And then, she actually ate with manners. Her father had been a true gentleman, after all.

the longer she talked with that person, the more the girl got a hideous feeling. well, it wasn't really like ... 'scary'. she was rather skeptical of the other - what was that for a strange being, after all? toh-rin didn't react to the other's 'question', if one could call it like that.
"how should i know it's happen always?" the girl remembered the other that they knew each other for, perhaps, five minutes. and for her taste, it was five minutes too much.
... and what was that thing with 'inspector'? a pejorative glimpse over the other's face (and hair), then she just let her eyes drift apart.

truth or not truth - truth or consequence - truth or dare - truth or lie - why was truth always involved? it was perhaps one of the less interesting facts on earth, as people rarely wanted to hear the 'truth' but preferred what was 'easy' or 'comfortable' to listen to. "you think so? that's pretty narrow-minded, don't you think?" the girl said between two bites of her cake she was eating right now, gifting a mendacious smile.

at least the stranger didn't eat like she spoke ... or took care of her hair. it was still horrible to look at, but it was not the only reason why the girl seemingly avoided to look into the other's eyes. "i'd rather call it 'tea time', 'cake time' sounds quite odd" she remarked, with a hint of politeness. recovering her poker face, this ... 'conversation' would be easier to endure, perhaps. "can't you answer it yourself?" she asked as reply to her question.

A-hyeon was a scary person. At least somehow, especially because of her twisted personalities. She didn't really know why she had this and this, but it made sense to her, so why not? Why not, yes... "Ohh, that's a point." She seemed to get a little bit back to polite ordinary things, but in the end, her other side was still triggered. This woman was hiding something. And she liked being the seeker.
"I'm A-hyeon Leeton, if I haven't said it already, actress. My main role is the 'inspector' in a series," she introduced herself to the other, with a little bit of disapprovement that she had to introduce herself. She still would have a long way to go to outrank her father. He had been famous with only a few roles... but in the end, one part of her still only acted for the mere fun of it.
Narrow-minded? She furled her eyebrows. She wasn't narrow-minded at all, how could the other dare? "Then what's your opinion on it?" she simply asked, being the more polite self again, making sure that words didn't fall too much now. Yes, there were the instincts of an inspector present sometimes, but... the method she used was strange anyways.
Then it was finally time to eat, ha ha. It had been so long... However, she soon started to eat, with manners actually, otherwise she probably still would have had some problems with her conscience. "Tea... ah, right. What kind of tea would you like to drink?" She took the tea menu and had a look at it. There were several black teas, green teas, teas... "I don't know the whole menu by heart, sorry," she simply replied while she was looking at the teas. She wasn't able to say which tea she preferred by only looking at pictures, pff. Why didn't they have some samples here, too?

fair to say that toh-rin wasn't dumb - she was intelligent, perhaps a little bit too ambitious for her own sake, too greedy, but whatever, they were the traits that had helped her as well. brought her to fall, got her back again. easy game, huh? still ... she felt as if the other person wasn't taken her seriously, and this was quite something the girl despised. either despised ... but now, collecting the anger, she leant backwards, almost relaxed. what was wrong with that person? ... apparently, a lot.

... aye. so she was indeed speaking to a so-called famous person. what. a. joke. inspector roles? she hated them, like, the most? "ah. i see. the only response she gave to her introduction. the girl didn't feel like introducing her great self at that point - rather was she focussing on more essential things again, like ... her cake.

"oh, there could be the mere fun of lying and tricking people" she simply replied to her question. "and people who don't care whether it's revealed or not. people who just ... don't know they're lying. all that stuff." she continued to eat her cake. yeah ... all the manipulation, done by other people, so truth was twisted and merely visible anymore.

... for real? she was now even ordering ... tea? of course, it had been her suggestion, so she just kept on finishing the bite in her mouth before she started to talk. "well, i would consider the classics as quite recommandable" she vaguely responded to her question. she wasn't very known to tea as well, however ... it wasn't much of an interest to her. she preferred wine, but of course, not too much of it.

What was wrong with A-hyeon? Well, a lot maybe. She tended to be too intelligent, too observing and well, somehow had some kind of dissociative personality. In the very end, it was just her and herself, but some people didn't really understand. It was quite good for her that she was an actress and actresses simply had some more problems than everyone else.
Even though she couldn't say that the idols were drama-free.

A-hyeon furled her eyebrows in slight disbelief. Well, she still wasn't too famous, right, and she should change it. She would become a person like her father whom everyone recognised. But for now, she didn't comment this any further.
And there were more interesting things she noticed with a smirk. "Right, right," she said, "There are certainly some people like this. But isn't it, in the end, similiar to everything else? Whether you say the lie with knowing it, you'd still like to hide something. When you don't know, you're still hiding." And the truth came out, no matter what.
Tea, a lovely topic. "So a black tea will do? Waiter, please bring us another can of tea, Darjeeling, please." She didn't have to tell him that she wanted to have the best leaves the café could offer, and not anything like second flush. She still liked drinking it, but she didn't want to very often.
