This year, overwhelming demand for more K-pop artists to perform, as well as overwhelming demand from K-pop artists to perform for the LGBT community, has lead Seoul Pride to set up four pop-up stages, where, for the duration of the festival, attendees can watch live music every day and interact with their favorite stars! Each stage has its own special theming, so be sure to read when you have your bands apply for performance slots. Please use the code below and post in this thread to claim your band/artist's spot!

North Tent
The North Tent is reserved for the biggest and most popular artists, as it is in front of a massive grass area and can fit over 500 people in this clearing. There is space for ten artists to be on this stage.

CM Entertainment's platinum-selling boy band who, fittingly, also is mostly made up of LGBT members, including an engaged gay couple. Stage info TBD.

--ROSEGOLD--
CM Entertainment's biggest girl group, who are having their first performance at Pride since their hiatus! (Stage info soon)

--

South Stage
The South Stage is closest to the actual government steps and building, so it will have the most attention on it when weddings are performed. As such, the artists performing at the South Stage have the broadest appeal and sing the most romantic, LGBTQI+ accepting songs. There is space for six artists to be on this stage.

Westwinds
Westwinds is where everyone goes to dance their asses off - the air-conditioned tent simulates a small club, and the music will be booming all day! This is a great place for up-and-coming artists, as well as harder-edged artists, to get the party started! There is space for six artists on this stage.

--E.L.--
BOSS' newly revamped co-ed group E.L. are coming with their usual list of tough and exciting, just known as awesome and eye-catching stages, and they perform their usual image as stage-nailing group - aiming to perform almost every song on their debut album list (which is HUGE), their fandom already calls it the second infinite stage they're about to accomplish. While they changed several parts to include the LGBT+ community, but also wearing rainbow-themed outfits while actively interacting with the audience. In the final end, though, they're just wow-ing their fans and viewers, regardless of gender, sexuality and anything!

Eastern Edge
The Eastern Edge is nearest to the Korea Queer Films Festival theatres, and brings the most experimental and indie artists to its stage. The Eastern Edge is sponsored by numerous underground Korean music magazines and small agencies, who sell a lovely alternative to mainstream K-pop bands. Trainees are also welcome here! There is room for eight artists on this stage.

If you've been following the news at all recently, you've certainly heard about the marriage equality bill up for vote here in Re-Bye's South Korea. Well, the decision has come down - South Korea has voted that same-sex marriage is now legal throughout the land! To celebrate this, Seoul Pride, who put on last year's wildly successful Pride Celebration, have moved their annual celebration to the steps of the National Assembly, in order to celebrate the great news!

Despite the location change, Seoul Pride remains committed to giving attendees the best, happiest experience possible. The massive success and media attention given to last year's Pride means that this year, the organizers have gone even more all out - there are at least 50 tents with various vendors and volunteer groups offering services, goods, and support to LGBTQI+ attendees, the agencies have once again sent their brightest stars to perform on various pop-up stages, and the Korea Queer Films Festival has a stronger lineup of movies, sure to appeal to everyone attending Pride. (Mani Phanthittra is once again serving as the Film Festival hostess, her first public appearance since dropping out of K-Choice.) Additionally, the Korea Queer Film Festival is asking for citizens' help to create a second It's Going to Be Okay Project, to support all of the young LGBTQI+ individuals in Korea who are feeling hopeless. Go visit this thread to make your contribution!

The biggest event of the festival, however, is the Love Is Love Party being thrown on the first day of marriage equality being the law of the land, to both celebrate those couples getting married and their supporters. The lavishly catered event is a black suit and tie event, where formal dress is required; that doesn't mean that non-celebrities can't attend! Put on your fineries and come join the party! (if you show your wedding certificate, you'll probably have a lot of people buying you drinks!) You're going to want to be seen at this once-in-a-lifetime event!

Just as a reminder, while there will be some people in Korea who are still not on board with marriage equality, we will not tolerate homophobia or other bigotry in our threads. Let's have a big, fun, safe party to celebrate this historic moment!

SKHAAs!!

It's that time again - but wait...! What is this??

For April, in celebration of April Fool's Day, we've decided to have a slightly different set of awards - hence the SKHAAs! SKHAA stands for the Seokjin Kim Honorary Achievement Awards, after our favorite dad-joke telling MCing master of BTS. Normally, our NHKAAs act as RE-BYE's version of traditional "of the moment" awards honoring characters, writers and threads that the site chooses to highlight; this month, we're highlighting achievements that go overlooked most of the time. You'll see what we mean when you look at the nomination categories.

This is the nomination thread to get us started- each of our members will nominate who they think should win one of these awards and get a highlight in our sidebar for the upcoming months.

Some Easy Rules:

01. One nomination for each category per member. Please don't vote for your own character or vote with multiple characters. Please don't vote for a thread you are in or your own characters. We're here to celebrate each other's stuff, not just our own.

02. Admins can be nominated for all categories during this very special month!

03. Nominees can come from the entire history of Re-Bye - you aren't just limited to February!

04. You aren't required to give a reason why you chose your nomination, but it would be nice to hear. Even if it's just a simple reason, it's an excuse to brag on your favorites.

05. Feel free to second a nomination for someone/something that has already been nominated.

06. You don't have to have a nomination for all the categories if you can't think of one, but please update your original post instead of posting a second time.

07. Just to clarify, the male/female categories are based on the face claim's gender, so our non-binary characters are still very much eligible!

08. If you don't feel comfortable posting in this thread, that's absolutely fine. Please use the code below and pm Zee your vote. You can pm her using the button below this post.

09. Please don't hesitate to ask any of the admin if you are unsure of anything! While we can't give you suggestions, we're always here to help you if you have any questions about the process.

Nominations will be open until April 15th.

JAN. NEWS !!

Happy New Year, all of my Re-Byers! (Rebbys? Did we ever come up with a fandom name??) I hope you had a lovely holiday season, and that you aren't completely dreading the return to work or school! January is going to be a month of cleaning up and getting the house in order on Re-Bye, so please make sure to take note of the important announcements below.

Firstly, the MAMA EVENT will be extended through the end of January! The participation in the event has been extraordinary, and we look forward to seeing how the awards events influence future plotting. Additionally, all of the member awards for characters who won an award at MAMA have been distributed; please let an admin know if you do not think you were awarded properly.

Secondly, be sure to post in the JANUARY ACTIVITY CHECK! This AC has a slightly different layout from past ACs, and you have until January 15th to save your characters. After the Activity Check, the first NKHAAs of 2018 will be held. Hopefully MAMA voting didn't burn you out on the concept of voting for life XD

A BOARD CLEAN-UP will be taking place starting January 16th. All threads that have not been posted in since NOVEMBER 1ST, 2017 will be archived. If you want to save threads, please either post in them during the first half of January, or notify an admin. This cleanup will include cell phone threads, but will not include media templates (i.e., Instagram threads, Twitter threads, etc.)

If you have not posted for your SECRET SANTA, please do that as soon as possible! We will leave the thread up for a few weeks to allow for all submissions to come through, as well as to let people see all of the lovely gifts being made.

There will also be a further SURPRISE ANNOUNCEMENT later this month, as we set up a new, exciting program I think you will all love. <3 We're still working out some details for it, but expect an announcement by the end of the month!

As always, if you need anything, Mandee, Penny, Zee, and I are here for all of your Re-Bye-ing needs !! Auld Lang Syne, my dears !!
